State/President Reserve/Senior Singles
Contratulations to our Zone Singles Winners - Mason Lewis (Merrylands), Michael Brown (Wenty Leagues & Peter O'Connell (Carlingford)
The Zone 10 State, Senior and President Reserve Singles concluded yesterday, culminating in three Finals of very high calibre, that saw three first time winners emerge victorious after eight gruelling rounds of competition. These players now progress to the State Finals at Ettalong Memorial, beginning 24th October.
In the State Singles, up and coming youngster Mason Lewis (Merrylands) defeated long time Zone 10 representative Craig Maythers (Wenty Leagues), 31 – 15. The President Reserve Singles Final was won by Michael Brown (Wenty Leagues) who defeated Michael Moseley (Toongabbie), 31-20. Whilst the Senior Singles title was taken out by Peter O’Connell (Carlingford) over Uwe Bendt (The Hills), 31-24. More information can be found on the Singles Championship page.
State and Zone Reserve Triples
Entries into the 2015 State and Zone Reserve Triples close on Friday the 10th of July. Entries are to be made through your Club Secretary/Bowls Coordinator on the official entry forms available here. To view received entries and for more information, please visit the State/Zone Triples page.
State/Senior/President Reserve Singles
The 2015 State, Senior and President Reserve Singles Sectional play has been completed and results received can be viewed on the Zone Singles page.
The Finals will be held at Castle Hill Bowling Club on July 4th and 5th. Castle Hill's greens are looking fantastic and the Finals fields have a good mix of youth, experience, and underdogs, setting the scene for some cracking and intriguing games, so why not drop in to watch all the drama unfold live at the venue.
For those of you who simply can't get down to the Castle Hill Bowling Club, Live Scoring for all rounds will be available direct to your mobile via the Zone 10 App (click on the Mobile App symbol top right hand side of this page for more information), with Semi-Finals and Finals scores updated continually on both the Zone 10 Website Singles Page and the Zone 10 Facebook page.
2015 Mid-Week 5-a-Side Entries
Entries into the 2015 Mid-Week 5-a-Side Competition are closed and entires received can be viewed on the Mid-Week Pennants Page.
This year’s competition has been well received, bucking recent trends of entry decline, and is the largest Mid-Week Competition field for some time. In order to round out competition numbers, one additional team in both Grade A and Grade C would be ideal. If your club can help out with a full team, or the names of any members interested in joining a composite side, please advise the Zone 10 Match Committee.

Mason Lewis Wins NSW U/25 Singles
Zone 10 wish to congratulate Merryland's Mason Lewis on his recent victory in the NSW U/25 Singles Championship. Mason won the final 25-11, defeating the newly crowned 2015 Australian Open Singles winner, Aaron Teys.

Tune into FM Radio 90.50 Alive on Sunday afternoons from 2.40pm to hear Northmead BC Coordinator, Brett 'Cyrill' Hughes, talk all things bowls. This will be a weekly occurance, where Brett will discuss the goings on in bowls from around the Zone, State or Country.
On his next segment, Cyrill will provide updates on the Australian Open, with particular emphasis on the successes of Zone 10 members, as well as local news and information, so place a note in your diary and make sure to tune in.

2015 Seniors State Inter-Zone
Hopes of the Zone 10 Seniors winning a third consecutive State Inter-Zone title came to grief this morning at the hands of Zone 4, as they lost their third round match 52 to 59. For more details and to see full results view the Seniors Rep page.
2015 Zone Junior Championships
After placing second in the first two Junior Championships of 2015, Billy Harkins broke through with a win in the Singles, defeating Jordon Piesley 31-10. Jordon had a chance at the clean sweep, having won both the Fours and Pairs titles, but some stellar play from a determined Billy Harkins lay waste to this ambition.

2015 Zone 10 v Nepean
After their recent success against Zone 9 in the Allan Buckley Shield, Zone 10 look to continue their winning ways when they take on the might of the Nepean District on Sunday April 12th 10am at the Austral Bowling Club, so if you at a loose end, why not drop by and watch our Zones best in action. Paul Webb named NSW U/25 Player of the Series
Zone 10 wishes to congratulate Paul Webb from the Merrylands BC, who was named Player of the Series for the U/25 NSW Keno Blues in their recent test series against Victoria played at the Wagga Rules club. For all the test results and information visit the Bowls NSW website.
Zone 10 Retains Allan Buckley Shield
In their annual encounter against Zone 9 played at the Harbord BC today, Zone 10 scored decisive wins in both the "A" & "B" squads, retaining the Allan Buckley Shield with a resounding 196 - 136 result. Full details and scores cn be viewed on the Zone Representatives page.

There have been several changes to the State Conditions of Play from last season, which can be viewed in the 2015 State Conditions of Play. The more noteable changes have been explained in a Bowls NSW Circular.
Rule Changes in 2015
There have been several changes to the rules and Domestic Regulations from 2014, including the release of Cyrstal Mark 3rd Edition for The Laws Of The Sport Of Bowls, where Law Numbering has been Revised. A summary of these changes can be viewed on the COP, Laws & Regulations Page.
2015 Zone 10 Events Program
Changes to Domestic Regulations regarding substitutes
Under the new Domestic Regulations (compliant with the Laws of the Sport of Bowls), replacement players are not permitted in the first round of a competition. If you have two of your intended players unavailable in the first you will have had to forfeit.
This requirement is reflected in the 2015 RNSWBA Conditions of Play (2.28)
188.8.131.52. Replacement Player: is a player who is appointed to take the place of a constituted player who cannot play in any round after the first round of that competition for a reason accepted by the Controlling Body."
