Draws for the 2016 State and Zone Reserve Triples have been completed and can be viewed by accessing the State/Zone Triples page.
Players are reminded of their obligations in relation to participation in Zone Championships, with particular regard to the Subsitite and Replacement Player rules, which can be viewed here.
Zone 10 Squad named for Quadrangular Series
The Zone 10 Squad that will be competing in the Quadrangular Series against the State Senior, ADF and NTC teams at Cabramatta BC on 27th & 28th August has been named and can be viewed by accessing the Zone Rep page.
2016 State, Senior & President Reserve Singles

2016 Mid-Week 5-a-side - Amended Draws
Players and Clubs are advised that there has been four minor changes to C Grade Mid-Week Pennant draw relating to use of venues for play. The new draw can be viewed HERE or by accesing the Mid-Week Pennants page.
Bowls NSW Annual General Meeting
The 136th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Royal NSW Bowling Association Ltd will be held Thursday 15 September 2016, commencing 2.00pm at the Bass Suite, Level 2, 97-99 York Street, Sydney.
Zone 10 Retains Allan Buckley Shield

2016 State, Senior and President Reserve Pairs Championships

Club Funding Grant Applications
The NSW State Government is inviting applications from community organisations for infrastructure Grants, made through its' Community Building Partneship. More information and online applications can be found here.
Increase to Club Clearance Fees
Bowls NSW have increased the cost of transfers fees from $11 to $25, which will become effective from 1st July 2016. More information can be found here.

Zone 10 Representative News
Zone 10 have scored a win in their first representative fixture of 2016, defeating last year's State Inter-Zone Runners-Up Zone 15. Winning both the Open and Junior matches, it was a great start to the season for Zone 10, who will look to continue their winning ways when they take on Zone 12 this Friday, the 1st of July, at St Johns Park. Submissions for 2017 COP
The State Match Committee will soon begin the process of reviewing the 2016 Conditions of Play. Submissions are invited from all stakeholders to be considered in the review and the drafting of the 2017 Conditions of Play. Submissions should address any concerns with the current Conditions of Play. 2016 Veterans & Super Veterans Day
Entries for the 2016 Zone 10 Veterans & Super Veterans Day, being held at Brush Park Bowling Club tomorrow, are up significantly on last year, with 36 Veterans and 54 Super Veterans participating.

Bowls NSW Membership Survey
The Bowls NSW Board recently commissioned UMR Strategic Research to undertake a survey of Players and Club Managers. his survey sought responses from a proportional sample of members and decision makers in the sport from across the state from both face-to-face forums and telephone interviews. In an extension of this survey, the broader membership is now invited to participate in the research project by completing the survey online. The survey can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.
2015 Bowls NSW Player Awards
Congratulations to Neil Burkett (Merrylands) on being crowned the 2015 Bowls NSW Player of The Year and Club Merrylands on being announced as Bowls NSW 2015 Club of the Year, both well deserved awards for a stellar 2015 season.
2016 State & Zone Reserve Fours Championships
The 2016 State and Zone Reserve Championships concluded yesterday at Northmead BC, with the Merrylands team of Peter Williams, Matt Phillips, Paul Webb, and Zelko Trbara triumphant in the State Fours over the Wenty Leagues team of Chris Couchman, Mark Barton, Sean Nelson, & Craig Maythers. Whilst the in the Reserve Fours the Pennant Hills team of Barry James, David Leslie, Martin Billam, & Garry McKeough were vistorious over Wayne Fogarty, Ian Norman, Nigel Gooch, Mick Moseley. Life Membership bestowed upon Michael Schwarcz & Dennis Harmer
Michael Schwarcz and Dennis Harmer were last night presented with Life Membership of the Zone 10 Northwest Bowling Association as a reward for their dedicated service to the Zone 10 Bowls community over the past 17 years. Zone 10 greatly appreciates the tireless work, commitment and sacrifice of these gentleman during that time and the effort they have made in bettering the great game of Lawn Bowls in the Northwest of Sydney.

2016 NSW State U/18 Squad

2016 Zone 10 COP
The 2016 Zone 10 COP have been completed and can be viewed via accessing the Club Resource Page. There a few significant changes to the State/Zone COP that should be noted:
4.3.1.Club Grades - Players Eligibility: Under this COP each club is required to submit a list of players, along with their current grade, who are intending to represent the club in the 2016 State Pennant season. This submission should accompany your club’s 2016 State Pennant Entry application. It is important to note, any player who does not appear on this list will be ineligible to participate in the 2016 State Pennant competition without direct approval of the State Match Committee (application to have additional players added to the eligible list needs to be made through Zone 10 Match). Zone 10 Match will be forwarding a template to all clubs tomorrow that can be used to register these players.
4.12 Method of scoring: The scoring for sectional play in the 2016 Season is now 10 points and has been amended to include rink results along with a Master Board total as follows:
The method of scoring for ALL SECTIONAL PENNANT MATCHES shall be:
Win…………….…..7 Points (Side scoring the highest aggregate number of shots)
Tie (Draw)………. 3.5 Points (Both Sides Score equal aggregate number of shots)
Loss……………….…0 Points (Side scoring the lesser aggregate number of shots)
Team Win ………..1 point for each team in a side that wins (rink win)
Team Tie…………..0.5 points for each team in a side that ties (drawn rink)
4.7.2 Pennant Pre-game Practice: As per feedback received from attendees at the 2015 End of Season review, it was decided that practice prior to all Pennant Matches with scheduled trial ends to commence at 12.40pm shall be conducted as follows:
• Home team to practice from 11.45am to 12.05pm
• Visiting team to practice from 12.05pm to 12.25pm
N.B. - As players are not permitted to practice on the rink on which they are drawn to play, rink draws SHALL not take place till 12.25pm.
There will be not practice permitted for games scheduled to begin at 9.30am
Elections for Members of 2016 Zone 10 Match Committee
Nominations for members of 2016 Zone 10 Match Committee closed on Friday 20th November at 5pm. The following persons have been elected:

As there is no need for election the nominees will take office after confirmation on the 9th December.

New Player Clearance & Transfer Procedure
Bowls NSW have removed the requirement for Clubs to register non-declared members as 'Multi-Members'. As a consequence of this change, Bowls NSW has issued a new Player Clearance and Registration form which is to be used for all future Player Transfers. This Form is also available to view on the Administration Forms page of the Zone 10 Website. For more information, please refer to the Bowls NSW Transfer Circular.
Live Scoring of Pennants Finals & Zone Championships via Zone 10 App
For those with a smartphone, you can download the new Zone 10 Team App - it's FREE to download and use. It's a great tool to get quick access to results, Zone social media and it also has a live scoring function for the Pennants Finals and Zone 10 Championships.
COP & Rules Changes
There have been several changes to the State Conditions of Play & Domestic Regulations from last season, which can be viewed in the 2015 State Conditions of Play and by visiting the COP, Laws & Regulations Page. The more noteable changes have also been explained in a Bowls NSW Circular.
