Under 25s Interzone – 23rd January 2022 at Dapto BC

We had a wonderful day at Dapto Citizens BC with our 9 under 25 team. We had a slow start against Z12 (eventual winners) losing our 3 rinks. After an inspirational talk by Jackeroo Ben Twist the boys (and Isabella Swan) won all 3 rinks against Z15. The third game after lunch against Z16 went against us 2 rinks to one.

Having a 10 year old (Luke Kennedy NBC) was terrific as was Isabella Swan WL who is a very new bowler.

Jack McShane and Ryan Kennedy in the pairs did particularly well, winning 2 rinks to one. They certainly carried on the form from the South Pacific under 18 open event as runners up. Jack also won the under 18 singles!

It was good to see Sam Hatch back on the green playing great competitive bowls skipping the Triples. Overall Zone 10 finished 3rd on 8 points, one point behind the second placed home side.
